WELCOME TO THE COTTAGE GROVE SCHOOLS PTO

 

WORKING TOGETHER FOR THE STUDENTS OF TAYLOR PRAIRIE AND COTTAGE GROVE SCHOOLS! 

Parents of children who attend Taylor Prairie or Cottage Grove Schools automatically become members.  We hope you will get involved in some way this year.  Having fun and fostering community is a fundamental aspect of our PTO.

GOALS FOR 2007-2008:

 

·        Provide $7,600 per school for special requests

·        Provide $2,000 per school towards Cultural Arts Programs

·        Provide $500 per school to support Special Reading Programs

·        Provide $500 for the Early Learning Fair

·        Provide funds to classrooms and the music, art and physical education departments through SCRIP promotions

·        Provide funds for Spring Sports Day and June Jamboree

·        Coordinate Room Parents

·        Coordinate and provide food for teachers and child care for parents during conferences

·        Sponsor a Welcome Back Luncheon for the teachers

·        Sponsor and coordinate Teacher Appreciation Week

·        Provide funds from Fall Festival for new projects

  

FUNDRAISING:  Of course, we could not accomplish all that we do to support our schools without fundraising.  We raise funds throughout the year in a variety of ways without the need for catalog or door-to-door sales.  We need everyone's participation to meet our goals.  Last year we raised over $40,000 with the following passive fundraisers:

PTO MEETINGS

PTO Meetings are held on Mondays at Taylor Prairie School at 6:00 p.m.  Free childcare is provided!  Please attend our monthly meetings. They are open to all parents and teachers.
